Abstract

The Certified Independent Study and Internship Program (MSIB) is one of the Merdeka Campus programs created by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikburistek) in collaboration with many well-known companies in Indonesia which aims to provide spaces for students to gain experience in knowing the industrial world. or a profession that has only existed in the dreams of students. One of the partners participating in this program is Orbit Future Academy with an interest in Artificial Intelligence(ai) for Startups which runs from August 23, 2021 to January 21, 2022. During the period MSIB takes place in Aifor Startups, Orbit Future Academy provides learning ranging from basic Python programming, Ai Project Cycle, the basis of Ai with three domains namely data science,Natural Language Process, and Computer Vision which this material starts from the first meeting until November. Continued with the material life skills and business in December. The last is the work on the final project for one month with the title "Apples Decay Classification System Based on Image Processing". The final project carries the theme of smart farming by utilizing AI technology to detect picked apples to assess the quality of whether the apples are picked fresh or not so that they are suitable for consumption in the community. This product can help apple growers to sort fruit effectively and efficiently.
