Abstract

As the need for computer networks develops, a network developer is needed to reduce costs by breaking the network into several buildings in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. One way to reduce costs and break down the network is to use network technology that is named switch. The switch itself is made for the purpose of breaking the network into several networks which will be divided into Virtual local area networks or commonly called VLANs which function to connect several existing networks without LAN-based cables, because VLANs have high complexity and stability. The Cisco company is one of the companies that makes switches with a fairly easy configuration, Cisco switches are one of the most widely used switches and create VLANs so that the network within the Ministry of Home Affairs can be broken. Through EVE-NG, the network can be simulated, EVE-NG is a platform that can be installed via the web for the use of real time simulation of internet networks. The basic configuration of a Cisco switch which is an important component in an internet network. To configure the switch itself is by adding VLAN 10 and VLAN 11 to the switch so that the network can be distinguished between static and dhcp and then sent again to the router so that it can access the internet network.
