Abstract

The drive test is one of the steps for cell planning for a cellular phone network. The test drive retrieves the information needed for cell development planning or cell optimization to create quality communications. The special devices used in the test drive are generally large, separate (Laptop, GPS, and Mobile) and are less simple devices. To overcome this, PT Poca Network Solutions conducted a Drive Test using only an Android-based smartphone, in which the devices needed to carry out the Drive Test were already available. This application was created to support Drive Tester work to make it easier and use simpler devices. The data obtained is to know the condition of the network in an area. The function of this test drive is not only knowing the network performance but also knowing the throughput values (upload and download speed).
