Abstract
ABSTRACT Technology Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) which is more commonly known as Wireless Fidelity (WI-Fi) is the development of the technology Local Area Network (LAN). This is because the WLAN can increase user mobility, and can overcome the limitations of the technology that uses a computer network cable medium. WLAN networks have used include WLAN standard 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11a and 802.11n,. Those standards, has a frequency and data rate are different. In this study, conducted to determine the comparative work on 802.11n WLAN to support voice services (VoIP) on the campus of STT Telkom Telematics Purwokerto that already provide free Wi-Fi throughout the building.Optimize bandwidth utilization, it requires optimization on WI-Fi networks that exist campus Telematics STT Telkom Purwokerto. In designing the network using a software simulator Riverbed modeler. In the first scenario testing performed by the codec G.711 get best result with a value of 184.69 ms delay, 27.98% packet loss, jitter and throughput 49933.1 ms 0.00834 bits / Sec but still not ready to make the voice service for packet loss parameter values are included a very ugly category of standard TIPHON. The number of calls that can be generated with the optimal running time 2 minutes 39 seconds 210 house calls. Keywords : WLAN, VoIP, Riverbed Modeler , Delay , Throughput , Jitter , Packet Loss.
