Abstract

JEKTV is a local private television broadcaster domiciled in Jambi and is an online media from PT. Jambi Ekspress Television. In WEB streaming services requires the dissemination of data in the form of video, it needs a protocol that can transmit data quickly. Therefore, the use of the User Datagram Protocol (UDP) protocol which has the ability to speed in sending data without paying attention to control and correction of errors in a network is needed in the data transmission process. In the use of UDP protocols for data transmission, it is necessary to carry out Quality of Service (QoS) analysis and a good network, of course, in accordance with the quality of service on the end-user which can be measured using the Quality of Experience (QoE) parameter. The QoS parameters used include throughput, packet loss, delay and jitter and the QoE parameters used are the Mean Opinion Score (MOS). Based on the test results, JEKTV's WEB streaming service got a variation in throughput values of 0.363 in leisure hours and 0.966 in peak hours, packet loss of 0.1 in leisure and peak hours, delays of 6.12 in leisure hours and 4.79 in peak hours and jitters of 6.15 in leisure hours and 4.80 in peak hours. From these results, it shows that the variation of values in the QoS parameter is at the strandar value used by the International Telecommunication Union for Telecommunication (ITU-T). based on the results of a survey conducted on 25 respondents who were within the range of JEKTV, they got MOS results which showed that the audio and video quality was very good and most of these respondents were very satisfied with the audio and video quality obtained at the time of testing.
