Abstract
The rapid development of technology today makes more and more criminal acts, One of the crimes that is increasing is motor vehicle theft. According to the Metro Jaya Police Chief's statement on June 19, 2020, which stated that cases of vehicle theft, especially for motorcycles, rose by six percent, accompanied by violent theft and theft by weight. The increase in the number of theft cases was caused by the COVID-19 pandemic because it worsened the social and economic life of the community. Currently, the security of motorized vehicles still uses the mechanical ignition method, but the security system still has weaknesses in securing the vehicle. The use of electronics is needed to overcome these problems. Utilization of these electronics is to add features of RFID technology (Radio Frequency Identification) and data encryption that is installed on the motorcycle as additional security, while for data encryption using the AES encryption algorithm. This method was chosen in this study because the RFID data that has been stored in the system cannot be stolen by irresponsible persons because the system has been secured with encryption so that if there is the same motorbike using RFID then the RFID data stored in the system cannot be used because one bicycle motor is only one RFID database. This study uses an Arduino Uno microcontroller which is connected to an RFID sensor. The result of this research is that RFID is successfully used to turn on and of motorized vehicles without using an ignition key, and when the ignition key is forced to turn on without the RFID Tag being scanned , it will give a horn alarm.RFID Tag is also successfully encrypted and stored on the Arduino Uno. RFID Tag is also quite good with an average of 33.5 milliseconds, does not add significant time in operating the system to start the vehicle. The success rate of the RFID Tag that is stored in Arduino to turn on the motor is 100% with 0% sounding the alarm, while the RFID Tag that is not stored in Arduino is 0% for turning on a motor vehicle with 100% turning on the motor alarm. This research is expected to improve the motorcycle security system as a tool that can provide a sense of security to motorcycle owners, and prevent motorcycle theft.
