Abstract
ABSTRACT In this modern era, telecommunications technology has been developed to offer sending and receiving data at very high speeds and can reach over long distances with low cost compared to send data using copper. The technology is fiber-optic cables. One of the technologies of transmission technique using optical fiber is DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) which use light with different wavelengths as the canals of information. Although DWDM technology has several advantages, DWDM technology is also inseparable from the disorders that may inhibit the performance of transmission system and may affect the data sent. It is therefore necessary the evaluation. As for the road widening project by a 3rd party on the link Cirebon – Tegal potentially breaking up cable interruption occurs. This has resulted in a decrease in the performance so that the need for evaluation on the network backbone link Cirebon – Tegal. The attenuation result is 28.485 dB. The result of power link budget calculation is 5.015 dB. The lowest availability result was in October, valued at 98.691% and the highest availability result were in March, November and December, valued at 100%. The highest maintainability result was in January, valued at 142 minutes, the lowest maintainability result were in March, November and December, valued at 0 minutes.
