Abstract
The application of Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology in Indonesia, especially in Banyumas distric, has been a challenge due to the limited numbers of contiguous frequencies owned by cellular operators. Release 10 3GPP results LTE Advanced technology which supports carrier aggregation services. Carrier aggregation is a technique using two or more component carriers at the same time either on the same frequency bands or different frequency bands. The use of carrier aggregation inter band non contiguous would be one of the solutions to deal with the limited numbers of contiguous frequency spectrum faced by operators in organizing LTE. Based on the situation, in this research, the LTE Advanced network plan is conducted with carrier aggregation inter band method using GSM frequency spectrum for particular cellular operator. The LTE advanced design compares the scenario without CA, Carrier Aggregation Deployment Scenario 2, to the Carrier Aggregation Deployment Scenario 3. The LTE Advanced network design is completed by using a simulation in software Atoll 3.3. The parameters observed in this research are RSRP, CINR, percentage of users connected, and throughput. For the design with Scenario Without CA, the RSRP value is -70,68 dBm, the CINR value is 10,14 dB. The numbers of users connected equal to 24,20%, and the throughput value is 2,578,86 Mbps. The design with CADS 2 scenario results RSRP of -51.11 dBm, CINR of 12,98 dB. The numbers of users connected equal to 72,20%, and the throughput value is 3,123,27 Mbps. The CADS 3 scenario has RSRP values of -50.82 dBm, CINR of 13.65 dB. The numbers of connected users is 72.60%, and the throughput value is 4,552.32 Mbps. Base on the analysis of the observed parameters, the network with Carrier Aggregation Deployment Scenario 3 is best applied in Banyumas District.
