Abstract

The development of the world of technology is currently growing rapidly. Especially in the telecommunications sector. One of the technologies used is fiber optic technology which has been used by telecommunications service providers. Optical fiber is made of glass fiber and transmits current data either wireline or in a directional manner. The characteristics of optical fiber are that it has a core of glass fiber and has a layer. Fiber optic cable also has an advantage over ordinary copper cable, which is that it has better data and signal transfer rates. It also has advantages against noise and radio signal interference. The development of technology has made telecommunications service providers to switch to using fiber optics. PT. Telecommunications, a state-owned company (State-Owned Enterprise) also uses fiber optic cables in the distribution of signals for products, namely indihome fiber, maintenance and maintenance on this network, because this network is vulnerable to interference. Therefore, care and maintenance is needed so that the network remains good. So what the author does is a network maintenance process that requires data validation to find out how much damage and which ports are damaged. With this, it is necessary to validate the database from within the office by the Access Data Management (DAMAN) Department, namely by using the UIMTOOLS website to NOSS-F UIM.
