Abstract

The frequency spectrum of wireless communication networks is very limited. Therefore required technology that can optimize the existing resources. Cognitive radio becomes the solution in optimizing the use of frequency spectrum. Spectra on cognitive radio networks is heterogeneous. Inside of the cognitive radio networks there are Primary User (PU) and Secondary User (SU). Cognitive radio networks make SU capable of transmitting on the same channel with PU. However, it will create a harmful interference for cognitive radio networks. Interference occurs when more than one user transmits on the same channel. To overcome the problem of interference on cognitive radio network in this study proposed channel allocation on cognitive radio network. The channel allocation between SUs is set to find the best channel for the network. The channel allocation for SU is done by using game theory algorithm. There was an improvement of Quality of Service (QoS) from the simulation result with throughput and Signal to Interference Ratio (SIR) as a parameters. The highest total throughput increase is 71% on PU 30 and SU 40 and the lowest increase of 3% on PU 30 and SU 60. With 20 dB of Signal to Interference Ratio (SIR) target, game theory makes 100% of target on SU 10 up to SU 60 In SU SU 80 SIR reaching the SIR target of 86%. QoS by using game theory higher than without using game theory Keywords : Cognitive Radio, game theory Algorithm, Nash Equilibrium, QoS, SIR, Throughput
