Abstract

Sokaraja Lor is a village located in Sokaraja District, Banyumas Regency, Central Java Province and led by the Village Head. The Village Head is assisted by a village apparatus consisting of the Village Secretary, Head of Affairs and Section Head who has duties according to their fields. The village government has the task of organizing government business, society, and village development. Office activity related to managing letters, storage and documents are called archival. the filing system of letter documents at the Sokaraja Lor Village Office is done manually, which is registered in a book and then stored in a storage cabinet. However, the stored letter archives are periodically lost because the letters borrowed by other staff are not recorded by the officers. The purpose of this study is to implement letter archive management from a manual system into a website-based information system by utilizing information technology to facilitate and assist work in managing, searching or inputting. The method used in this study is waterfall model, which is a linear sequential model (sequential linear) or classic life cycle (classic life cycle). The steps of the waterfall method are analysis and requirement definition, system and software design, unit implementation and testing, system integration and testing, operation and maintenance. The result of this study is a letter management information system that is expected to improve administrative performance in terms of managing incoming and outgoing mail so that the process of filing letters and searching for letters becomes easier and faster.
