Abstract

The government's policy to study online began in 2020 after the global Covid-19 pandemic created the need for an attendance system. Attendance is part of the process of learning activities that have a role in educational institutions in schools, universities and other places that use attendance signs. This has caused the 3 Ligung State Junior High School to make cultural adaptations. From the results of observations made that the attendance system for student attendance is carried out using Whatsapp Chat Groups where each teacher or homeroom teacher will present student attendance according to the schedule of their respective subjects. This is not effective and efficient and causes inaccuracy of attendance data obtained, the data can be manipulated, so a system is needed that makes attendance effective and efficient for students and teachers. Therefore, the researcher made a presence based on Qr Code using the Waterfall method with the PHP programming language with the CodeIgniter Framework and MySQL database. The system was created with the aim of facilitating the attendance process and recap of student attendance. The system is made by utilizing QR Code technology so that students can make attendance. The resulting system has a Qr Code scanning feature which later the teacher or homeroom teacher will do a Qr Code Generator at every meeting and students will scan the Qr Code. From the results of testing the student attendance system, using BlackBox testing obtained 100% of the functions can run well without errors, the student attendance system can do a Qr Code Generator at every meeting and can scan the Qr Code.
