Abstract

The development of technology is now quite advanced, especially in the field of wireless networks, Information contained in an area can be spread very easily to another area in just a matter of seconds. The use of technology known as information systems will be very useful if used for the development of tourism in an area. Banyumas in terms of the habit of tourists looking for souvenirs as one of the tourist activities when visiting an area. and the Banyumas district government website has not provided information on souvenir shops and tourist attractions in the district. Banyumas, based on this, the use of information technology can be used as a supporting tool in providing ease of service. Information systems can be applied to overcome the problem where visiting tourists can easily find souvenir shops and new tourist attractions. Besides, the information provided is still quite lacking so that many places are still rarely visited. Referring to this understanding, this research will examine the tourism potential of souvenir shops and Banyumas tourist attractions. implementation of a website-based information system as a guide to destinations and sources of information who want to find souvenir shops and tourist attractions in the district. Banyumas with the method used in making this information system is the prototyping method, this method was chosen based on the study of literature and the context of the problems from various methods that have been studied that the method produces good and fast results so that it can be accepted by users because it produces an information system that has been done trial stage with good results with appropriate interface. While in the analysis of software requirements modeled with the Unified Modeling Language (UML), the research conducted will result in the implementation of a website-based information system as one of the recommendations for information about gift shops and tourist attractions in Kab. Banyumas and it is hoped that it can be used easily and can help introduce gift shops and tourist attractions in Banyumas district. Keywords: Tourism, Banyumas, Prototype, information system
