Abstract

Technological developments are growing rapidly as if they do not know space and time, especially since the era of globalization which requires us all to always follow the flow of technological developments, even in the business sector, we have started to apply technology to improve quality. This study focuses on outdoor equipment rental businesses that still do not use technology in their business, this research is designed to design a user interface for online outdoor equipment rental applications. The background of this research is users who still lack information on outdoor equipment rental shops in Purwokerto. This research method uses a user experience lifecycle because based on user experience there are still many shortcomings about information from providing information on outdoor equipment rental shops in Purwokerto. User Experience Lifecycle is a method that pays attention to user experience and involves several stages in a cycle. This cycle consists of four activities, namely analysis, design, prototype, and evaluation. The evaluation stage is carried out after the formation of the prototype that has been developed. This study aims to produce an application design based on user needs. The result to be achieved in this research is the design of an online outdoor tool rental application based on a medium fidelity level prototype. At the evaluation stage using the think aloud method, 19 respondents were categorized into 2 parts, namely tenants and shop owners by collecting feedback from respondents as qualitative data. After getting feedback from the respondents, the effectiveness and efficiency were calculated. At the effectiveness stage, the tenants' section resulted in 99% and 100% for shop owners. While the calculation of efficiency for tenants produces a value of 98% and for shop owners it is 100%. From these results. A medium fidelity prototype for an outdoor equipment rental application can be produced so that it can be delivered to the public.
