Abstract

The development in internet use which has been increasing every year has made the use of web browsers also increasing rapidly. This has an impact on cybercrimes using web browsers as well as increasing abuse in every use of web browsers leaving traces in the form of cache. This study aims to show getting traces of digital evidence from web browsers with web browsers used as follows mozilla firefox, google chrome, opera, and microsoft edge and by using forensic tools as analysis in this study, the first tool uses FTK Imager and the second uses Autopsy. . The discussion in this study is to carry out scenarios such as including social media consisting of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, WhatsApp, and LinkedIn. The investigative method used is the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) with the stages of collection, examination, analysis, and reporting and finding digital evidence from each browser with a dead forensic state or the data has been permanently stored.
