Abstract

In the business world in Indonesia there are still those who use manual methods to calculate the number of products produced or provide information about production results, stock of goods or other things that occur during production to managers or company owners. Previously, in cardboard manufacturing companies, the production calculation used units of weight or kg in the calculation of production, in this case the owner wanted to implement the calculation based on the carton unit so that the quantity or production calculations in one day or one month could be found so that the total production achieved by the company could be known. So that information on the number of cartons can be known, this system was created to speed up and make it easier for managers or company owners to monitor the number of cartons production per day. The way this system works is to detect cartons that are placed on the conveyor or the trajectory of goods moving to the infrared sensor and a bunch of cartons will be detected provided that one carton consists of 10 piles of cartons, 10 cartons will be counted automatically and then processed by the Arduino microcontroller then through the Ethernet shield, this information is sent in real time and then the calculation results of the number of cartons will be displayed on the website interface. The results of the test show that the prototype system of the tool is functioning and working properly, with a distance of 4cm between cartons and the results are calculated and well calculated.
