Abstract

Microgreens are young vegetables that are harvested at around 7-14 days after sowing. The main problems that arise when microgreen plants are grown conventionally are the temperature, soil moisture, and air circulation of the plants which depend on the environment which does not always match the needs of the migrogreens. This causes less than optimal growth. Therefore, an Internet of Thingsbased microgreen cultivation monitoring tool will be designed that can monitor in realtime the microgreen growth conditions from seed to harvest. In this thesis, NodeMCU esp32 will be used as the main microcontroller, DHT11 sensor and YL69 sensor. The way this tool works, every detected value will be displayed on the LCD and also sent to the real-time firebase database via WiFi communication. actuator automatically. In testing the error precentage of the YL69 sensor, the average value of the error precentage was 8%. In the error precentage test of the DHT11 sensor, the average value of the error precentage was 1.08%. These results indicate that the sensor on the hardware has sufficient accuracy, so it can be applied to control soil moisture and temperature in microgreen systems. Keywords: Microgreen, NodeMCU esp32, sensor, Internet of Things
