Abstract
Mobile technology always necessitates service upgrades to keep up with changing use cases and increasingly complex human needs. To alleviate human anxiety about cellular networks, which is becoming increasingly important at this time, 5G (fifth generation) cellular technology has arrived, offering significant improvements over its predecessors. 5G, which has three frequency bands, High Band (mmWave), Mid-Band, and Low-Band, adapts to user needs based on region and user density. Because Low-Band and Mid-Band have greater coverage than High-Band, they are more profitable when used in rural areas with low population density but high demand for network connectivity. The frequencies of 700MHz and 3500MHz were chosen for this study and then applied to the Karawang Industrial Estate using the Rural Macrocell (RMa) propagation model and Carrier Aggregation techniques. The Mentum Planet software version 7.3 is used in this planning simulation, and the measured parameters are SS-RSRP, SS-SINR, and Data Rate. Carrier Aggregation was shown in this study to improve network performance at 700MHz as primary cell and 3500MHz as secondary cell, with a maximum value increase of up to 561% on SS-RSRP and 68% on Data Rate, but SS-SINR decreased by 8.84%. Keywords : 5G, Mentum Planet, 700MHz, 3500MHz, Carrier Aggregation
