Abstract

Libraries are one of the most important public facilities for many people. Searching for books in libraries that still use the manual system will require a long process. Visitors to the library will search for the desired book by looking at the books one by one on the shelves. The purpose of this research is to design a system that can integrate a microcontroller with the searched bookshelf data. designing a microcontroller that recognizes the bookshelf according to the book data sought. This research was conducted using research methods that include needs analysis, design and implementation and testing. This system uses NodeMCU v3 as a microcontroller and a web application with PHP language and MySQL database as the application interface. From the research results obtained in the form of a system design that can integrate the NodeMCU V3 ESP8266 microcontroller with the bookshelf data sought. Bookshelf search web-based application is designed using PHP and MySQL to search for bookshelf data received by the microcontroller. From the results of testing the performance of the bookshelf search system for the speed of searching for bookshelf data is 4.93 seconds, the distance of the shelf (microcontroller) to the application is 9 meters, the detection speed of the rfid reader is 2.45 seconds and the distance of the rfid tag to the rfid reader is 4 cm.
