Abstract

User demand for high data transfer speeds has increased as a result of technological advancements. The fifth generation (5G) New Radio (NR) cellular communication technology is projected to meet the needs of reliable and equitable service providers for 5G network customers, with data rates of up to 20 Gbps. 5G technology operates at high frequencies, making it susceptible to attenuation caused by natural factors such as temperature, humidity, air pressure, and rainfall, and human blockage. The concept of Cyclic Prefix-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (CP-OFDM) and Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK) modulation is used to investigate channel coding polar codes using 5G channels that are influenced by human blockage at a frequency of 2.3 GHz. The representative Power Delay Profile (PDP) obtained 41 paths from the 5G channel research, after which the scaling approach was used to generate 9 modified PDP paths with the influence of human blockage. According to the findings, the average Bit Error Rate (BER) is 10-4 , uncoded BER performance is influenced by human blockage, which necessitates a Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) of 30 dB, and the theory of BER BPSK necessitates an SNR of 34.5 dB. While the typical BER performance is 10-4 , BER polar codes that are affected by human obstruction require an SNR of 23 dB. The results suggest that channel coding polar codes at a frequency of 2.3 GHz can reduce power consumption or the SNR value of 11.5 dB, which can affect 5G system performance. Keywords: 5G, Polar Codes, Power Delay Profile, BPSK, BER
