Abstract
l The COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease-2019) pandemic is an event that has been in the world's spotlight since the end of 2019. Various efforts were also simultaneously carried out by one country after another in all corners of the world in order to minimize the transfer of the virus. In Indonesia itself, a circular regarding the Implementation of Education Policies in the Emergency Period for the Spread of Covid-19 has been issued by the Ministry of Education and Culture through Circular Letter No. 4 of 2020. The Ministry of Education and Culture emphasized that in order to avoid an increase in the number of cases of citizens infected with the Covid-19 virus, the public is encouraged to carry out the process. learning from home with an online learning model. In every level of education in Indonesia, Elementary School is one of the education levels other than PAUD that experiences the biggest learning constraints. KBM activities in the network have various problems, both shortcomings and advantages that are felt by each party who is most affected by online teaching and learning activities in Indonesia. Indonesia, namely students, teachers or teaching staff, and parents as number two teachers or mentoring students to study at home. Based on the main research "Explorative Study of the Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on the Online Learning Process in Elementary Schools" by Agus Purwanto et al, Pelita Harapan University, and research on 8 regional trials in Banten province, 3 parties affected by online schools are students, parents and teachers, interviews conducted in the province of Banten, the obstacles felt by students were difficulty understanding the material presented online, missing friends and reduced pocket money, having to share gadgets with family members and other distractions, and so on. While parents also have obstacles, namely having to pay for quotas and gadgets, not too familiar with learning applications other than WA, difficult to divide time to teach children, and so on. Teachers also have their own obstacles such as students being less responsive, enthusiastic, sometimes not serious about doing assignments, thinking extra in preparing interesting materials and delivery techniques, and so on. Therefore, the author then made a design entitled "Designing 2d Animation Short Videos as Alternative Educational Media "The Phenomenon of Online Schools During the 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic”.
