Abstract

Suicide is a deliberate act that results in death for himself. Suicide is often associated with psychiatricdisorders such as depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and alcohol and drug abuse. Moresuicides were contributed by teenagers. There are about 800 thousand people in the world who commit suicide each year and some cases occur among adolescents. For teenagers, suicide is a solutiontosolving the problems they are facing. The lack of signs or symptoms of someone who wants to commit suicide is a big problem to reduce the death rate caused by suicide cases. Therefore, this study raises atheme related to these problems. This research will design and build the Suicide Risk Idea Identificationapplication using the Rapid Application Development method. RAD is a type of system development that is based on a series of iterative development cycles, using the RAD method, making a systemonly takes 60-90 days. RAD has two types of methodology, namely development phase and prototyping. The type of methodology used in this research is the prototyping methodology. The prototyping methodology puts all stages (analysis, design, and implementation) into action simultaneously. To facilitate earlyidentification of ideas for suicide risk, a questionnaire is needed to discuss the severity of suicidal ideation and other attributes. SIDAS (suicidal identification attributes scale) is a questionnairedesigned to identify suicidal thoughts and assess the severity of these thoughts. This research will produce an android-based system with the aim that adolescents can make early identification of their mental condition.
