Abstract

Negeri 3 Kedungbanteng is a school located in Melung village, Kedungbanteng subdistrict where Melung village is the place where the authors carry out KKNT (Thematic Real Work Lectures). At SMP Negeri 3 Kedungbanteng there are two problems where students are very unfamiliar with computers due to the absence of computer subjects at the school, this is due to the lack of computer units available at the school and the absence of a computer lab in the junior high school because of this, if a computer-based exam was held, the teacher team was overwhelmed in teaching their students because the students couldn't operate a computer at all. The installed internet also has a very small bandwidth, which is only 10 mbps with a very high monthly rate of 600 thousand, this causes if there is a large internet-based event such as an online exam, the internet will be down, this is very difficult for the school. From these two problems, KKNT students made two work programs, namely computer training for students and building a new network at SMP Negeri 3 Kedungbanteng. The computer training work program is carried out 2 times a week for six weeks. The first 3 weeks students learn Microsoft word and then the second 3 weeks students learn Microsoft Excel, the results of this training students are no longer familiar with computers, this is proven when students give an example of a student format. SMP can follow it well. For the construction of the internet network, students cooperate with an eco net ISP under PT Global Media Data Prima which uses optical fiber as far as 2 km. the new internet installation resulted in a better speedtest value where previously it had a ping value of 16 ms, jitter 70 ms, download 3.3 mbps and uploads 1.4 mbps, then the new internet speedtest results have a ping value of 21 ms, jitter 16 ms, download 9.5 mbps and upload 3.3 mbps where this figure is far above the previous value and makes the internet network at SMP N 3 Kedungbanteng more stable.
