Abstract

ABSTRACT Performing maintenance on infrastructure on a network device is very necessary so that network performance remains stable. One of the infrastructure in the Fiber to The Home (FTTH) network is the Optical Distribution Cabinet (ODC) which functions as a place or rack for termination of fiber optic cable connections that connect the Optical Distribution Cabinet (ODC) with the Optical Distribution Frame (ODF) and Optical Distribution Point (ODP). As one of the telecommunications service providers, PT. Telkom Witel Bandung has a unit in charge of monitoring the performance of each fiber optic network infrastructure, namely the Access & Service Operation Unit. One of the infrastructure performance monitoring is done by observing the Optical Distribution Cabinet (ODC). The infrastructure for building optical fiber networks is usually located in an open space (outdoor), which requires regular observation to ensure that each infrastructure is in good condition. In making observations, the Access & Service Operation Unit develops the Alpro Supervision Operation (OWL) application to make it easier for technicians in the field to make observations, where in the application features are available to document the physical condition of each device and features are provided. to record the results of observations. One of the things that need to be considered is the arrangement of fiber optic cables that are installed in the ODC. The Access & Service Operation Unit designed a maping layout so that the condition of the fiber optic cable termination arrangement can be updated every time it is updated.
