Abstract

Technology have very rapid and sophisticated development. One of the result of technological development is Information Technology. The purpose of implementing information technology in organizations is to improve service quality and performance of the organizations. The school is an institution where learning and providing education and also as a place to get and give lessons. The school attempted to be an informative institution for the society. According to that, the school need a role of technology to deliver information. The purpose of information system is give an access for user to the information wherever and whenever. Therefore, information system of school is needed to deliver accurate information rapidly. This research discusses about the development of information system in SMKS Nusantara Lubuk Pakam. The system used PHP as a programming language and Laravel as a framework. The system is integrated with database using MySQL. The system is developed for two actors who have role as administrator and user. Collecting data for developing the system used some methods such as observation, discussion and literature study. The research also discuss about testing the information system by using blackbox testing. This method aims to test the functionalities in every modul rapidly. The purposes of information system are to make deliver information and registration system becoming easier in SMKS Nusantara Lubuk Pakam. The system is expected can be develop by adding an access to e-learning and maintenance periodically.
