Abstract

HONF (House Of Natural Fiber) Foundation is a Yogyakarta new media art laboratory run by a community in Yogyakarta. Most of the communities that collaborate with HONF are related to technological developments, innovations and fine arts. So far HONF has carried out various projects that focus on implementing art and technology, one of the collaborative works between HONF X ITTP X DORXLAB is a work that has been exhibited abroad and HONF has innovated from the basic ingredients of liquid tofu waste. Liquid tofu waste is a problem faced by the tofu industry in Yogyakarta because at that time the right solution for its processing had not been found so that the liquid tofu waste had polluted the surrounding environment. HONF as a Yogyakarta art community innovates from waste or liquid waste by processing it into a multifunctional product that looks like a canvas, named Soya Couture. This product has several advantages, such as a more aesthetic shape, environmentally friendly, more flexible, and can be recycled. This product has been introduced in several places in the Yogyakarta area. Recently Soya Couture has been introduced in foreign countries.
