Abstract

Students carry out Field Work Practices to gain knowledge and experience in work. From the development of the internet, a browser (website) emerged. World Wide Web (WWW) is a technology that can not only display text but can also display sounds, images, graphics, animations with attractive colors for users. One that utilizes this technology is an online news portal website. Online news portals as a medium for channeling desires, ideas and interests that have been used by many people, are in line with the notion of mass media, namely the media of crossing messages between masses. The purpose of this field work practice is to improve or develop the Banyumas Police news portal website which plays a role and has the function of sub-division of managing information and documentation. The method used is the interview method, data collection and observation. The results show that students can better know and understand the conditions that exist in the world of work so that students are ready to enter the world of work with the knowledge that has been obtained from this Field Work Practice (PKL) activity and also learning on campus.
