Abstract
The growth of technology makes humans need fast and precise communication. For today's communication the need for fast data access is a very desirable need. In order to quickly access data, a technology that can carry a very large bandwidth is needed, using GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Network) technology. The purpose of changing the ONT (Optical Network Termination) device to Huawei 5G at WOC Telkom Gerilya Purwokerto room is to be able to overcome the limited bandwidth because the WOC Telkom Gerilya Purwokerto room device before used was the Huawei HG8245H. Report data obtained from observations in the field, interviews, and explanations from the field supervisor. Data in the form of how to install the ONT Huawei 5G device at WOC Telkom Gerilya Purwokerto room and how to configure the Huawei 5G device. The installation and configuration process of the ONT Huawei 5G device was carried out at WOC Telkom Gerilya Purwokerto room, before being replaced to the device the measurements were made first on the attenuation using OPM. After changing devices, it is hoped that there are no services that will have packet loss or bandwidth shortages. The use of the latest technology is very necessary in the telecommunications world because it can help make the wishes of its users. We recommend that if there are still devices that use technology that is still old, soon be replaced with the latest technology. Keywords : ONT Huawei 5G, Bandwidth, GPON
