Abstract

The purpose of writing this practical work report is to describe the design phase of the new FTTH network plan. In this real work, the author is placed in the SDI surveyor division, and the types of work given are PT2 and PT3. As for the background of writing this report, due to the rapid development of telecommunications science in Indonesia, PT's migration from copper network to fiber optic network. Indonesian Telecommunications. However, this development is not evenly distributed throughout Indonesia. The number of Telkom subscribers in Indonesia each year has a positive impact on the distribution of fiber optic networks throughout Indonesia. Indirectly, the higher the public's interest, it will help expand the distribution of fiber optic networks. If survey and design activities are still done manually, the construction of fiber optic network infrastructure will not run quickly and effectively. In this modern era, the design process can be done digitally using software designed specifically for this. In the practical activities that have been carried out, there are several stages needed in the design of the FTTH network planning. The first stage is to survey the location of new customers with the nearest existing ODP using the SIIS web application, then check the availability of core distribution on ODP, place an order for new ODP names, then design a complete network with the required infrastructure.
