Abstract

Hydroponics is a planting medium without using soil by using a symbiotic combination of aquaculture with animals. Agricultural land in urban areas has experienced ownership rights in Indonesia. This is due to the conversion from agricultural land to industrial land and used as residential land related to economic factors, social growth, and population growth. There is a need for tools to reduce land limitations in urban areas so that they can help improve people's lives, and to realize a better, healthier, and environmentally friendly lifestyle. In this study, several components were used to create a system between the pH sensor, DHT22 sensor, Water Pump, Buzzer, nodemcu esp8266, and an android application for remote monitoring using IoT technology. This research uses the NFT (Nutrient Film Technique) system method which is useful for ensuring hydroponic plants get nutrient solutions. Tests carried out on this system are to determine the accuracy of the pH sensor and DHT22. Testing the pH sensor using the reference conditions of pH 4.1, 7.1, 9.4, by reading the results of the sensor test the highest error rate level at the pH condition of the pH sensor test results is 9.4 with an average error value of 2.22%. The DHT22 test was carried out with 3 tests, namely in the morning, afternoon, and evening. In the QoS test results, the delay obtained from testing the average value of 952,799 ms with the tiphon standard is categorized as bad, the packet loss obtained from testing the average value of 5,678 with the tiphon standard is categorized as a medium, the throughput obtained from the average value test - an average of 709.470 bit/s with tiphon standard then categorized as bad, jitter obtained from testing the average value of 2495.922 ms with tiphon standard then categorized as bad. Keywords: Urban Farming, Hydroponics, NFT system (Nutrient Film Technology), QoS, pH sensor, DHT22 sensor
