Abstract

From year to year, cases of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) blood cancer suffered by children in Indonesia continue to increase. Cancer is the second most deadly disease and ALL the leading cause of death in children. This disease is characterized by the production of an excessive number of young white blood cells (lymphoblasts). Manual microscopic examination of the blood smear is used as the standard technique for diagnosing leukemia because it is the most economical way and has the potential to have an error of 30% - 40% due to human factors. Therefore, we need a cost-effective automated system using deep learning and based on an android application because its development gives promising results to facilitate hematologists. The lymphoblast counter application is used by uploading lymphoblast photos and detecting to get the results. In order to be integrated, android applications created in android studio will be connected to Firebase and Google Cloud Storage. Cloud storage is a development of cloud-based data storage, Firebase provides a service, namely Firebase storage. Cloud storage technology allows users to store data without the need for physical storage. From this research, the results obtained are that Cloud Storage technology is useful as a data storage medium so that data is not easily lost and Firebase has features and services that can be used in developing android applications, one of which is firebase storage.
