Abstract

The existence of E-Government to make it easier for people to access information quickly and accurately. Accessing the website, it must provide convenience to users so that any existing information can be easily found. One of the E-Government developed by the Banyumas district government is the Smart City Banyumas website. This website can be accessed by the public at http://smartcity.banyumaskab.go.id. and providing regional information, ranging from public service information, population administration information systems, education, to information on various regional potential sources in Banyumas district. Based on the results of the questionnaire distributed to the Banyumas community, the user interface on the website is uncomfortable for users with a combination of background, color, type and font size used. So this research was conducted to provide a redesign of the user interface using the User Centered Design method and usability testing using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method with 20 respondents as the research sample. The result of this research is a new user interface design with an increase in usability value from 59 to 79, which means that the new user interface design can be well received by users.
