Abstract

Higher education is an educational institution at the high level that have functions, namely education, research and community service. Higher education has various majors. When choosing a major, prospective new students must be right in choosing it according to their interests, talents and abilities. Difficulty in choosing a major is influenced by several factors, including the origin of the department will affect the major in lectures, the choice of a major that is not in accordance with the interests of talent, report card scores and test scores will affect the majors in lectures and will be coercive from parents. The most influential factor in the difficulty of choosing a major is the choice of a major that is not in accordance with the talent interest. Choosing a major that is not in accordance with the talent interest will make prospective students experience "wrong majors". The difficulty in choosing a major is not only felt by prospective new students, but also one of the education providers at the tertiary level, namely IT Telkom Purwokerto (ITTP). The ITTP marketing unit has anticipated the problem of difficulty in choosing a major by directing prospective new students to take a talent interest test through an information system, namely the PakBudi application as a solution for selecting majors. One of the innovations in educational applications in Indonesia has the advantage of testing and assessing the interests of students' talents, especially prospective new students. As long as the application is created and used, there is no detailed measurement between application functions and user expectations. Based on this explanation, this research was conducted to measure the use of the PakBudi application. The research objective is to evaluate the performance of PakBudi's application in overcoming the problem of choosing a major at ITTP. The method used in evaluating the performance of the PakBudi application is End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS). The result of the research is that the PakBudi application provides useful information for users and has ease of use with results of 85%.
