Abstract

In working on this field work practice report , the author Takes the title, RePoint ing link Microwave Radio Antenna for Indosat Provider. In this report , the author refers to the renewal of the antenna link in order to get the Actual Power RX or RSL (Receive Sigal Level ) value according to the Link Budget, where the device can still be used but is still not maximal and does not match the Link Budget. The equipment used in BTS already uses a new serial device, namely the RTN 910A equipment. Based on the results of the two rePoint ing experiments, the results of the first rePoint ing experiment get bad results because the highest RSL result is -28.9 dBm, which is the result that exceeds the tolerance of ± 4 dBm, the expected result is close to the RSL of -33 dBm. Then the technician conducted the second Point ing experiment and got the highest RSL result of -30 dBm which the result was as expected, which was close to 33 dBm and the tolerance limit of ± 4 dBm. The second result is obtained after changing using TX Frequency and RX Frequency. In this case, a significant change is caused by the influence of weather factors after Microwave installation which causes a shift in the position of the LOS (Line Of Sight) in wave transmission.
