Abstract

Telecommunication is a technique of sending and receiving information from one place to another. In this case long distance communication. Telecommunication itself can be divided into 3 more types, namely Simplex (one-way), Duplex (two-way), Half Duplex (semi�two-way). For now, there are many devices that support telecommunications, such as television, radio, telephones and also handphones or gadget. For Duplex (two-way) communication like any handphone or gadget, it requires a signal to be able to communicate with other devices. The signal obtained from the handphone itself is captured in the receiver embedded in the device. This signal can be received because the handphone already uses a SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card from a provider in that country. The signal is obtained from the sectoral antenna on the BTS tower (Base Transceiver Station) which is transmitted to the subscriber's Handphone. However, before the sectoral antenna can be transmitted to the subscriber's Handphone, there must be a microwave antenna (mw) which is used to forward various information from the central server to the customer. And in order to be connected to the customer, the MW antenna will be connected to one another, from tower to tower, this is called Pointing. PT Bumitel Indotama is task of installing the MW antenna so that it can be connected to one another and can forward information from the server to the customer and vice versa.
