Abstract

Currently the need for internet connection is increasing. This is indicated by the increasing demand for internet services and also its varied uses such as for communicating, sending data be it files, music, photos etc. Therefore, it is necessary to expand internet coverage in an area by adding a router that functions as an access point so that certain areas that are not covered by the internet network can be fulfilled. Adding a router that is configured as an access point requires configuring a DHCP server by using the default gateway obtained from the server so that the router can work properly without problems. From the results of installation the router TP-LINK as an access point, it can be concluded that adding a router to reach an area that is not covered by the internet network is the right solution. This is because the installation process router is quite easy and doesn't take a long time. Keywords: router, internet, DHCP server.
