Abstract
This research is intend to giving out recommendation of a better message-embedding- method, that is Least Significant Bit and End of File to PNG based image. The possibility of data stealing on data that has been spread all over the internet now is incresing, because the informations and the media is impersonal and everyone can easily access them. There are some techniques to resolve this problem, one of them is steganography. This research is taking the scope on comparing two methods that considered have special characteristics of the process to embedding a message on digital image steganography. These two methods are Least Significant Bit and End of File. The media that is being researched for those methods are Portable Network Graphics (PNG) formated image, because PNG is a lossless compression image, and PNG is a cover image that well compressed for raster image. PNG also designed to work on online applications, such as World Wide Web. Reseach methods that being used is analyzing some comparations, such as comparing the stego-image and cover-image from both embedding method by Human Visual System, comparing the stego-image and cover-image by MSE and PSNR value, comparing the stego-image and cover-image by the file size, and the last one is comparing the extracted messages whether the words remain the same or broken. This result from this comparation is that Least Significant Bit method is better than End of File. Keywords: digital image, End of File, Least Significant Bit, PNG, steganography.
