Abstract

Selection System Candidate Security is a program created to assist the selection process of security candidates. In the selection of potential security guards, there is a phenomenon in which the candidate security guard who did not pass the selection can qualify. In this study built decision-based support system that can assist decision makers in solving problems that exist in the Selection Prospective System Selection Satpam based on existing criteria. This research uses TOPSIS method (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution). TOPSIS is a concept where the best alternative not only has the shortest distance from the ideal ideal solution, but has the longest distance from the ideal ideal solution. TOPSIS has many advantages including simple and easy to understand, efficient computing and has the ability to measure the relative performance of decision alternatives in simple mathematical form. TOPSIS method is widely used to solve the problem of decision making. The results of the research show that TOPSIS method can be used to help provide recommendations to select candidates for security guards and the system made to solve the problem on the ranking of the candidate of security guard.
