Abstract

The development of the internet is currently developing the technology of the Internet of Things or known as IoT. To make it, IoT requires a communication channel that is suitable to the system requirements. One that is in accordance with the implementation of IoT is a monitoring system which means to monitoring all activities carried out. An example of a monitoring system is a prototype of a car safety monitoring system. The prototype of the car security monitoring system was made using Raspberry Pi 3B +, PIR sensor, and Picamera connected to Telegram to send notifications in the form of text and images using the NodeRED command. Based on the results of testing on the hardware, this prototype can run well that can detect objects rangingfrom a distance of 30cm to 300cm and capture images of objects and store them in Raspberry Pi object storage. While the test results on the software, this prototype can work well that is able to send notification messages to the car user's Telegram chatbot account in the form of text and images.
