Abstract
In this era of technological development, many things have begun to change from conventional methods to digital and automatic methods. One of them is handwriting which has begun to be researched so that it can be digitized and recognized by computer systems. Graphology is a field in psychology that can identify a person's personality through handwriting. As in the font size analysis feature that can describe the author's self-esteem, the spacing between lines that can recognize the author's organizational abilities and also the continuity that can describe the author's thinking system. However, not everyone can study graphology. In addition, to analyze a single handwritten sample takes a long time. Therefore, graphology will be implemented using a computer system. Research on graphology continues to be carried out so as to find suitable methods so that it can make it easier for ordinary people who do not study and understand graphology with the help of technology. In this research, graphology will be implemented on a computer system with the C# programming language and the EmguCV library. In addition, this system will use image processing methods and rule-based system. The image processing stage used is pre-processing, segmentation and feature extraction. The results of this study indicate that using the handwritten image processing method can be computed and get the handwriting analysis features under study. After that, the results will be identified using a rule-based system with three rules for each handwriting sample. The results of this study indicate that the first rule test can identify 10% of personality. Meanwhile, the second and third rule testing resulted in a percentage of 14% and 21% respectively to identify the personality of the 48 handwritten samples. In this study, the use of the rule-based system method is not good enough in identifying a person's personality. Keywords: Graphology, Image Processing, Rule-Based System, EmguCV
