Abstract

Air quality is one of the important problems that can threaten the life of humans and other living things. Air is a mixture of several gases. But there are also gases that have a negative impact on humans and the environment. Carbon monoxide (CO) gas is one of the main causes of poisoning, the most common for human health, so a carbon monoxide detection system is created which can monitor carbon monoxide levels in the room. The use of the prototype method is designed from the stages starting from gathering needs to building prototype, system programming, system testing, prototype and system evaluation, system use. The results of the sensor can read the value of carbon monoxide with a value range of 10 - 1000 ppm and provide notification to email. And the quality of the network used is from the throughput, delay and packet loss parameters obtained when nodemcu sends data to thingspeak and ifttt provides notification to email Keywords: carbon monoxide, thingspeak, nodemcu esp8266, ifttt, microcontroller
