Abstract

Currently, many farmers choose to use Light Trap Insects (LTI) on their agricultural land, especially if they have a large area of land because it can help farmers detect pests early. According to the Community and Village Empowerment Service of East Java Province, the calculation of efficiency in rice plants, the costs incurred by using the LTI per 1 hectare are 970,000 rupiah per season, while using pesticides is 3 to 5 million rupiah per season. LTI is a smart innovation in the world of agriculture, but LTI is still controlled manually so it is less effective in terms of time and energy. This study aims to create an LTI automation system and monitor the status of the flash lights through an android application. The tools used are NodeMCU ESP8266 as the main data processor as well as a wifi module, Arduino Uno forcontrollers ac dimmer, LDR sensors as light input receivers, and ac light dimmer as a lamp controller. This research uses themethod prototyping, besides that it can adjust the lights to be dark, dim, bright, and very bright. Tests are carried out on LDR sensors with test results that can read environmental conditions well, testing network QoS on good value devices, and testing applications using themethod Black Box which gives results that all functionality is appropriate and running as it should. Keywords: Light Trap Insect, Arduino, android, automation, light sensor
