Abstract

Technological developments are so rapid especially in the field of telecommunications, but felt in the installation of copper cable network has not been able to fulfill broadband services. It takes fast access services such as GPON technology. Royal Banjar Mansion Housing is one of the FTTH network for network access area with very high Bandwidth speed located in Banjar City area, therefore by building a fiber optic network or Known as Fiber To The Home is expected to be a solution in the process of data transmission for housing, where the technology used Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) This technology is a PON-based technology that Distandari-G. 984. In this research method used is survey location, requesting data on the party of PT. Telkom, design using Google Maps, simulation using Software Optisystem, calculation manual, testing the design results whether appropriate standards or not, then design analysis, where the parameters-the parameters used are Power Link budget and Bit Error. Based on the results obtained from the calculation of the budget power link of-19.266 dBm whereas19.067 dBm for simulation for downlink, the result has been compliant with THE standard of ITU-T where the minimum value for the budget power link amounted28 dBm . The result of the BER and Q Factor performance based on the simulation result has been the standard for GPON of 2,33286- 016 with Q Factor value of 8,11985. The results of BER and Q Factor parameters meet ITU-T standard which is a minimum limit of 10-9 for BER while 6 for Q Factor value. Then based on the results obtained from the design designs for housing Royal Banjar Mansion has fulfilled THE standard ITU-T. Keywords : FTTH, GPON, Power Link budget, Bit Error rate, Q Factor.
