Abstract
Proxy server that exists between user applications and server applications can be used as a controller or monitor of data packet traffic to be passed. Besides being able to blockthe desired sites and keywords, the proxy server can also store objects and data that have been searched by users when browsing the internet, the prory seryer can also restrict the use of local and external networla. This design uses two scenarios, namely the scensrio thot is not installed and installed proxy. Proxy server can block the desired site, because the site is included in the blocking list of sites located at /etc/squid/url. Not only sites that can be blocked by a proxy, but by simply writing the proxy server keyword can block because the keyword is included in the blocking list located in /etc/squid/key. The results of the throughput that is obtained from j0 capture in scenario I the acquisition of the highest value in this scenario amounted to 65.386526 KBps and the acquisition value as low as 42.995604 KBps. The results of the Scenario 2 Throughput test the highest value obtained in this scenario is 60.815462 KBps and the lowest value is 41.627668 KBps. The value obtainedfrom 30 capture of the highest value obtained in scenario 1 is 5.426 ms and the lowest value is 0.972 m* The results of the delay parameter in scenario 2 the highest value obtained in this scenario is 6.27 ms and the lowest value is 0.039 ms.
