Abstract

In the development and application of telecommunications technology is growing very rapidly, both directly and indirectly will affect the development of telecommunications technology systems in Indonesia. Fiber optic technology or known as optical fiber can provide technological advancements, especially in telecommunications networks, especially in data communications. Optical fiber is a technology in the form of air cables and planting cables. Optical fiber cable is a cable technology that uses glass fiber and plastic threads to transmit data and is able to transmit modulation messages to light waves. While ADSL stands for Asymmetric Digital Subscribel Line, which is a form of technology in data communication in order to transmit high data quickly through copper telephone cables and has the properties of asymmetric data. ADSL also has a modem, ADSL modem has a function as a device to connect to connect a computer or router to a telephone line so that it can transfer data or access the internet.
