Abstract

The development in the telecommunications world is now increasingly rapid, especially in the cellular sector, such as the increasing communication needs that make demand for communication services increase. Therefore to support the communication process there is a need for the best communication process there is a need for the best communication service. To overcome this problem, effective network planning is needed for the appropriate area coverage by using a standard propagation model. In this study, a network planning was carried out using 1 existing site review in the Karangmangu area by looking at the the result of (bad coverage) will later be added to the new site. This research uses software atoll 3.3 the parameters that are taught are RSRP and CINR. From the simulation result are increased 0r result when new site are added better than the previous result. New site prediction result for RSRP values in the range below -110 dBm amounted to 31.221 % and the existing site amounted to 54.981 %. And for the percentage of CINR values in the range below 0 dBm the result of the addition of new site amounted to 29.639 % and existing site amounted to 27.047 %.. The increase in the result of the prediction is due to the addition of new site using SPM propagation. Keyword- Standard propagation model, coverage planning, atoll
