Abstract

One of human needs is electricity. Electricity has become a part of human activities, this can be seen from the use of most of the activity supporting devices using electricity. Electrical energy needs will increase and increase from year to year along with the development of various fields that occur in the community. In the community's need for electricity, the electricity comes from distribution substations that are placed in community settlements. However, the electricity substation has no one to control, so that if there is a disturbance to the electricity, the handling process will be slow because there is no control in the substation and PLN is late in knowing the disturbance. Thus, RTU is installed in the distribution substation as a tool that functions to control the electrical substation. The RTU will get information from the substation that is controlled whether the controlled substation remains active and gets electricity from the substation. So, RTU will notify the status of MTU whether the distribution substation remains active or not. But the RTU cannot directly connect to MTU without a router device. The router will not be able to provide information to MTU without installation on the router Keywords: Distribution Substation, RTU, MTU Router
