Abstract
The development of telecommunications technology in the present is very rapidly and rapidly developing. Telecommunication technology is very important today because with the development of telecommunications technology it is very easy for everyone or a company involved with the development of telecommunications networks. The need for access networks in each of the different regions and different geographical regions, one of them in Indonesia with a geographical location which is mountainous and lowlands and different islands. The need for satellites is very necessary in a network, namely internet access networks, signaling, and access needs in one of the ATM networks, which can condition network access in each different region so that the delivery of communications and information is not interrupted for 24 hours. In addition to functioning as a provider of communication and information services over long distances, satellite is a backup of radio telecommunications networks or other networks if at any time there are problems in communication or network. With the VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) system in telecommunications, the technology used by the VSAT has advantages over other types of data telecommunications in terms of coverage because satellites used by VSAT can reach long distances covering one third of the earth's surface and have high data transmission speeds .
