Abstract

To support the good quality of 3G data services, telecommunication operators can pay attention to supporting infrastructure to be able to support optimal 3G data services. One of them is the use of transmission media. Currently the transmission media with direct ONT conditions continue to be developed, it is necessary to maintain aspects of the system so that the system can run properly and minimize problems. One of the maintenance efforts carried out is the optimization process on the system in Node B. By doing optimization, it can identify and reduce an error in the implementation of hardware and software so as to produce optimal network quality parameters and can increase network capacity. This process includes network checking and analysis of a system, so that the system continues to run and can provide good services for users. There are 3 ways used to perform network optimization on the ONT, namely 3G + 4G optical co-trans in the ONT, aggregate and split 3G and 4G. The results of the process prior to network optimization in Node B are, at Sidanegra 2 site, the latency value before optimization reaches 105 ms and after 0 ms optimization. At Sidanegra 2 site the value of packet loss before optimization reaches 0.5% and after optimization is 0%. At the Purwokerto 2 site the latency value before optimization reached 300 ms and after optimization was 0 ms. On the Madura 2 site the value of packet loss before optimization reached 1.2% and after optimization was 0%. Keywords: Optimization, Latency, Packet Loss, Node B
