Abstract

The current development is very rapid, especially in the telecommunications sector. With the changing times in this digital era, the desire of the public wants a very fast connection. As a solution to answer the wishes of the community, namely by using fiber optic technology, fiber optic networks are the main telecommunications networks based on optical fibe /glass. Optical fiber as a highspeed broadband network. Transmission speeds of uplinks and downlinks with fiber media can reach up to 100 Mbps much better, compared to other devices such as wireless or satellite. Fiber optic network to be able to connect to customers must be activated by the device, starting from the existing device in the customer, namely the ONT (Optical Network Terminal). The service / service used is using IPVPN (Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network). With its network flow, it includes OLT (Optical Line Terminal), ODC (Optical Distribution Cabinet), Splitter, OTB (Optical Terminal Box) GPON (Gigabit passive optical network). The attenuation value is -26.00 dBm measured at OTB side using OPM (Optical Power Meter), the value is in accordance with ITU-T standards not exceeding -30.00 dBm.
